Fashion shoots. I don't do as many as I would like to do, and every time I shoot fashion, I like it a lot. This particular shoot happened to be in a very cool location, and the collaboration with Phaedra was relaxed, although she turned out to be very perfectionistic. Which is good, because I'm only satisfied with the very best images as well.
So, I met Phaedra. She's a 19 year old journalism student, aspiring photographer and an avid blogger. One day she asked me whether I wanted to do a fashion shoot with her. I had been following her blog and found it to be refreshing. Obviously, she was putting a lot of effort in it. So when I learned she'd be the model, wearing outfits from a trendy shop, I quickly decided to do it. On top of that, I didn't even have to scout for a location, as she had already taken care of that too.
All outfits you see in the pictures come from Freak Out Gent, a trendy ladies' fashion store in Ghent. Be sure to check their Facebook page
The location was particularly cool. A popup shop, opened by 18 interior stores, in a large city house. You can visit it until December 18, by which date a silent auction will be taking place. You can place a bid for any object you would want to have, and the winning bidder will be able to purchase the item. Part of the revenue will go to SOS Kinderdorpen, an organisation providing aid to children who grow up without the loving care of parents. You will see part of the interior in the gallery.
The shoot itself was professional, well prepared, and I think we may be working together again in the future. Be sure to check the rest of the gallery and read the story on That's Très Vogue.
